 About North Legacy Wildlife

Here is a bit of an introduction to North Legacy Wildlife.  We are not a large company by any means, it is me and my wife, (she helps with the computer/bookwork, photography and general project layouts) I (Chris Zimmerman) have been doing taxidermy part-time  for about 10 years. I have been an avid hunter/fisherman from young on up and always had a great interest in taxidermy.  My first taxidermy project was a black squirrel I shot myself, (I was about 14 at the time) it did not turn out too great, I tried mounting it on a form that was too large! I did some deer and small mammals for myself and family members, and soon had all my spare time tied up doing taxidermy for friends and local hunters. From there it kept getting busier, until in 2025 we decided to start it as a business, part time with the hope of going full time in the future.

What we do

We specialize in whitetails, bears,  small mammals, large mammals, shoulder mounts, pedestal mounts, half/lifesize, full life-size. Also do european skulls using dermestid beetles, click on link to see page on euro skull mounts. At this point I do not do any birds or fish, although that may change in the future.

Our mindset is not  high volume, production first mentality,  it is to create stunning, true to life taxidermy art using the highest quality products and processes available to ensure not only realism but also longevity of the finished product.
