About North Legacy Wildlife
North Legacy Wildlife is a small scale taxidermy shop located in Waterloo New York, owned and operated by myself, Chris Zimmerman. I am a passionate Christian and outdoorsman, and have always had a great interest in taxidermy and arts in general, at this point I have about 10 years experience as a part time taxidermist and have been transitioning into a full time business for the past several years. I am currently under the training and mentorship of Brian Good at Triple Trophy Taxidermy out of Pennsylvania.
My Goals
At North Legacy Wildlife my goal is not a high volume production first mindset, it is to provide true to life, premium quality custom taxidermy work using high quality products and no corners cut methods, to ensure that the finished display is not only realistic but will also last as long as possible!
What I work on
I specialize in North American life-size (whitetails, black bears and similar size) gameheads of most North American species, and also predators (coyotes, foxes, bobcats etc. and smaller life-size. At this point I don't take in any birds, fish or pets.
Lead times
My goal is to provide high quality work with a reasonably short turnaround time, ( contact me to get the most up to date estimate on turnarounds, this will depend on time of year etc.) I try to keep turnarounds to 10 months and under, and will not book out to over approx. 1 year. As a general rule the shortest turnarounds will be in late summer and at the very beginning of the fall hunting seasons.
